After a week of harassment I've finally broken down and joined. I've been "spying" on Chad long enough that I felt I should come aboard (especially after his comment last week).

Recovering from yesterday’s 200s, right knee continues to bug me but I'm starting to think it is as good as it is going to get.

An early easy 8 mi from home with a Sugarhouse Loop.

Adam - welcome to the blog!

Now this shows real commitment. How early are your morning runs maybe we can connect. You ran well in the 200's Tuesday. Have you plyed around with different shoes. I sometimes get a knee pain when my shoes are breaking down or I get a pair that doesn't feel right. Just a thought. By the way we have new uniforms that look much better and are more comfortable than the old one. Email me and I will get your sizes.

How fast were the 200s? It may be a good idea to go back a couple of weeks, and enter as much of your workouts as you remember, this could shed some light on what is going on.

I get knee pain from running on the curves on the track. It is very odd - I can pound the pavement, 90 - 100 miles a week + speed, race marathons back to back, and there will be no knee pain. But running 5 K at 6:00 pace on the track makes me feel something. Hard intervals on the track week after week will probably cripple me, but last time I was sufficiently unwise to do it was December of 1996.
