Today I turn the big 3-0. It crossed my mind to run 30-miles today. Though I don’t think that I would have a problem doing this, I didn’t want to screw up the marathon training 2-days into it. I slept in an extra hour and didn’t get into work until a little after 6am. Then I ran from lab to and up City Creek. It was colder today than yesterday but the run still felt good. I was a little sluggish as even with sleeping in I didn’t get much sleep last night as we stayed up late. Avg. 7:28 HR 150

I'm glad you didn't run those 30 miles. I am not sure I like your new shoe picture replacing our family one. =P

Happy birthday young man! I am glad that you didn't set the precident of running your age on your birthday...I don't want to run a 40 miler! Good job on getting the 10 mile in...that sounds fine to me.

Happy Birthday! And the picture doesn't help much- can't tell what is where.

Congratulations! Sleeping in sounds like a GREAT way to celebrate to me. In fact, I am going to go take a nap in honor of your birthday.

Thank you all for your comments. Overall I had a great birthday. After a good day at work and some time with my daughter before she went to bed (she even said Happy Birthday Daddy, she practiced all day), my wife took me out to dinner. We went to The Five Alls, on Foothill. It was some good food done in a five course meal style… The prices were reasonable for what we had compared to other restaurants, I would recommend it.
