Seems like it was forever since I raced. Although Fritz reminded be that it has only been about 2 months. I didn't go into this race with any expectations. Just wanted to see some fellow runners and get a hard run in. The fog/smog was pretty thick and I think that did affect performance. At least it warmed to above freezing!

Got there a little late but enough time to put in about a mile. Then chatted with fellow bloggers, old faces, and some new faces as well. I felt like I was working but never red lined, although my HR might disagree with that assessment. Looking forward to the 10K in a couple of weeks and hopefully using this to spur a few more workouts here and there. The biggest thing is the air and ground. Looks like both may clear up this week... Cooled down afterwards with Fritz, Kevin, and new guy from Cornell College. Then some more chatting during the raffle. Overall a good morning and nice to talk to so many familiar people.

Great to see you out there Adam. Sorry we couldn't accomodate a Sunday run but hopefully we can organize better next time.

Thanks Jake, better than I expected. Hope you ha fun in San Diego and made it hope safely. It's sloppy out there now.

Fritz, thank you. It was great doing the cool down together. No worries about making a run work, my schedule is pretty sporadic so no worries.

Nice race Adam! Especially considering the stress and lack of sleep the last few months. So excited for you about the new job!!! You will like it there :)

Hi Cody, Not sure if I made an official announcement. But a couple weeks ago I did sign to be faculty at UAB. So I will be heading to Alabama this summer. As we discussed at TOU this is a great career opportunity for me and although Sandra wants to stay in UT she agreed we had to give this a try. It is a bummer I won't be making a trip up to your place again this fall. We won't leave until later this summer so hopefully I run into you at something. Looks like you are fully recovered from the Bear incident your mileage has been great!
