I think I’m going crazy. Whenever I think I have a schedule set I go and change it. I think the important thing for me to remember with my training is that I do what my body tells me not what I type or say… Less than an hour after posting a response to Training with limited time/sleep  by Michelle I decided to change what I said and sleep an extra hour anyway. Then I went into work and worked first, not running until 11am. I did the same 6-miler as last Friday but this time with one mile HARD. For the hard mile I chose the aided mile (from the Firehouse to the Overlook with a 212ft descent). For that mile I only thought “faster than 5K pace” and didn’t look at my Garmin until the end, 5:03.46 HR 177. This is my fastest mile in … Overall, it felt good and I’m looking forward to the 10K tomorrow. Total 6 mi Avg. 7:12 HR 150

Great pace! Go get 'em at the 10K!

Thank you. Remember it is an aided mile but it felt great to move that fast. Your a mileage stud this week. Are you going to hit 90?

From jtshad on Fri, Feb 08, 2008 at 15:57:06

Aided or not, you were smoking and likely passing cars!

I hope to get in a 13-15 miler tomorrow either outside early (if it is decent, not likely) or on the TM at the gym. I have to take my folks to the airport tomorrow then go to a funeral of a former coworker who just died after a 2 year battle with stomach cancer.

I don't think I could pull off what Kory just did...20 miles on his home TM! I'm telling you, he is an animal (and slightly crazy). I'm not doing a run over 15 miles until the weather turns.

Nice mile, speedy. I don't think I'll race tomorrow. My wife, Heather, has signed up for the whole series and I am likely on kid duty unless I can find a sitter for the morning. I'll likely just run 12-13 in the morning.
