AM: Could not get my butt out of bed this morning, took me too long to fall asleep. So I ran at 10:30 instead with the guys upstairs. Both of them had run the Wasatch Steeplechase on Saturday. It sounds like they had fun. I was really tempted to run it this year before WBR came up. Jon suggested getting a WBR team together for it next year and I’m very tempted. The run this morning was mostly easy but we did push the hill by Popperton Park. Mi 8-R2 Avg. 8:20

PM: Still pretty hot after dinner but did some more miles. Ran my "new" Parley's loop. Nothing special, right knee a little tight. Mi 7-R2 Avg. 7:54

Nice run Adam. I was dead tired too this morning and had to drag every muscle from the bed to a standing position.

I think for both of us that hill just wiped-out all the muscles.

The Steeplechase looks like a lot of fun and a good challenge..

I've run most of the course before and it is a good climb. There were portions I could hardly walk at the top. I think Jon has me convinced to run the Jupiter Steeplechase this Aug so I'll see how bad that one beats me up before I commit to the Wasatch Steeplechase. Good news is that I still have a year to wise up :)

There are many options in PC other than the rail trail that I've now found.

There is a nice little path through the city main street area and another nice bike path down Hollow Creek.

I've also thought it would be pretty sweet to run from Deer Valley, over the mountain, and down to Midway (this would be running the Ragnar and Are You Kidding Me backwards). The first part would be a bear of a hill, but the last 8 miles downhill. My wife could then drive us back to PC.

It would take some time, but it would be one helluva training run.

Also, there is a group running in Provo Canyon and a group running from Sasha's house.

I've yet to commit to anyone at this point.

Thanks Steve. Let Clyde know and see how many people we can get. The runs you describe sound great to me and as long as we are not racing I'm up for some easy overdistance.
