Single: I really have to focus on some sleep and not so much Olympics at night. Full day plus full night equals tired Adam... That being said I had to get up a little early as today is Sandra's birthday and I'm only running once. Got a bunch set-up in lab and then timed my run so that I would go past the house in time to have Kaitlyn wake up Sandra with her birthday card. After that snaked back to lab and now have to try and get the day done on time. It is funny it is 9am right now and I'm already a good 3.5 hrs into my day. Have to love waking up early. The 1500 semifinals were interesting but I was bummed about Lagat not making the final. Also, I was confused when I first looked at the schedule I read men's marathon Day 16 as Aug 16th... (sorry Chad I told you incorrectly). Mi 10-R3 Avg. 9:16

I hear you on the Olympics. My T.V has been on non-stop for the last week. The woman's marathon yesterday was interesting... Dena kind of let everyone down, although not me. I've never been a big fan of her. I mean run more that 20 min's of the race before pulling out- your a freaking professional who has tapered for the last couple week to get ready for this event. How in the world could her foot be that hurt after 20 min's? What a joke. Hopefully the men will battle with a little more heart.

Sorry to vent on your blog Adam.

I just read on the discussion board that she broke her foot... So the comments above are in vain. Although how does a professional runner who has been tapering for a race brake her foot so soon into a Olympic race? Did she step on that sign at 1k?

Clyde, I didn't realize she had broken her foot until Paul had pointed it out either...

I heard about her foot being broken on ESPN, and I was a little disappointed. Not at her, but that she couldn't achieve her goal.

Clyde you should know that injuries can pop up at anytime and were all vulnerable. She actually knew she had pain in her foot for two weeks, which she really should have dropped out knowing that. But I've never really been a big fan of her either.

Nice run Adam and I hope the birthday went well. Say happy birthday from me.

The Olympics was killing my sleep too, but last night I just shut it off and changed my addictive behavior for one night.
